Hike seen in Shanda Games, Shanda Interactive Profits
A notable hike in the profits of Chinese game developer Shanda Games was recorded for Q3, as the game developer continues to expand its portfolio of online games.
Diana Li, CEO of Shanda Games said, “We expect that our strategy of growing a large portfolio of online games combined with our leading ability to manage game operations, deep understanding of the local market and ongoing R&D investment will help ensure continued strong performance.”
Google Street View Singapore at construction of ION Orchard
Today, Singapore at last joined the ranks of countries with Google Street View, right on the heels of the roll out in Hawaii and large parts of Spain in November.

Social Networking Sites Disable Accounts of Over 3,500 Registered Sex Offenders
Facebook and MySpace, two of the most popular social networking websites, have identified and disabled the accounts of over 3,500 registered sex offenders in the state of New York on the back of a recently passed law which demands that sex offenders must register all their e-mail addresses and online aliases with the state. The development had been confirmed by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, at a press conference on Tuesday.
Major Stock Markets Across the World Climb Higher
As the focus shifted to the current week's profitable number posted by major world economies, and Dubai's debt woes took a backseat, major stock markets all over the world ticked higher on Wednesday. The European Central Bank's meeting to discuss rates also helped take the focus off Dubai's financial troubles.
All main stock indicators recorded a hike of more than 1%, including the Dow Jones Index, which managed to add 126 points and traded at above 10,500 points for the first time in over a year.

Korea's giant electronics manufacturer Samsung has shared that it has begun shipping across a category of NAND memory that the company claims is a breakthrough product in its class. The new offering has been said to speed up the reading performance and capability of mobile handsets manifolds.
In words of Samsung, the new offering is a "30 nanometer 32 gigabit multi level cell NAND memory with asynchronous DDR interface", shipping for which started last month.

Thanksgiving weekend has been highly successful for giant gaming consoles manufacturer Nintendo. On back of recent price drops, sales of the company's products exceeded a whopping 1.5 million units over the Black Friday weekend. Wii, DS and DSi have been the most popular products. The Nintendo Wii, the price of which was recently reduced to $200, has been the hottest selling gaming console of the weekend.
