Apple has released its updated 4.0.4 Safari, and although this is a minor point release and no major changes have been made, the browser does promise improved performance and security features. The upgrade is being offered as a free download.

Microsoft has announced the official launch date of the latest Wireless N Adaptor for the XBox 360 as November 26. Costco had accidently displayed the unit a week ago, causing Microsoft to speed up its launch. The device is now officially available at NewEgg, Costco and other online retailer stores.

At a grand event in London this week, Sony Ericsson unveiled its latest edition to the much popular Xperia range, the Xperia X2, formally christened the Xperia Pureness, a successor of the X1 and a phone targeted at high-end business users.

Sweden based telecommunication devices maker Ericsson has announced its plans to cut as many as 700 jobs at its UK division, thereby pointing to the possibility that the firm might just cease all functioning at its Central England facility.
