Vizio’s XVT Pro Series Holds Latest Technology

Normally known for mass market flat screen televisions that mainly appealed customers' pocketbooks, Vizio announced its forthcoming XVT Pro series of HDTVs that assert to be full of sophisticated features that every home theatre, and enthusiast of HDTV, needs.

Vizio co-founder and sales/marketing VP, Laynie Newsome said, "Our 2010 XVT Pro series offers a refreshing combination of the latest technology. We at VIZIO are setting new standards for picture quality and user experience. Fifty percent of consumers want a 3D home theatre, according to Quixel Research, and our new XVT Pro Series brings the latest technology to consumers who want the absolute best in class".

The LED-backlit sets in this series would be available in size from 47 inches to whopping 72-inches. All include SRS StudioSound HD audio and integrated wireless HDMI receivers, so components like Blu-ray players and game consoles can be connected without cables for full 1080p HD resolution. You'll need the XVT Pro Wireless HDMI Adapter that supports up to 4 HDMI sources and uses SiBEAM's 60-GHz technology. Each set can connect to an existing home broadband connection using 802.11/n Wi-Fi and to on-demand streaming video, music, and media services without a separate set-top box.

Vizio is not planning as yet to ship the XVT Pros until August 2010. However, the price for the 47-inch model should be around $1,999, 55-inch unit would come for $2,499 and the 72-inch set going for $3,499.
