Atlus Demon’s Souls North America servers will live after all

Atlus Demon’s Souls North America servers will live after allAfter having earlier announced that the North America servers for Demon's Souls will be shut down on May 31, Atlus has recently stated that it will not go ahead with the previously planned move; thereby implying that Demon's Souls servers will live in North America after all!

Disclosing that Demon's Souls' North America servers will not shut down next week, Tim Pivicny - Atlus' Vice President of marketing and sales - said in a recent statement that Atlus is "incredibly excited" while making the announcement that "the Demon's Souls online experience will persist for a while longer."

Pivicny further added that though Atlus has previously thought that it may not be practicable for it to sustain the North American servers for supporting the PS3 title, several new developments have now surfaced, and have made it possible for the company "to continue to invest in and support our fans as they have continued to invest in and support us and Demon's Souls."

According to Pivicny, the decision to shut down North America servers for supporting the well-liked RPG has been pushed aside indefinitely, with the result that players who have not yet discovered the "amazing online experience" of Demon's Souls still have the opportunity to log on into the game and find out for themselves as to why it is "still regarded by many as one of the finest games of all time."
