With the scheduled March 16 release date of Apple's new iPad now round the corner, and the company having reportedly sold out of the pre-order stock of the tablet, early buyers should keep in mind a few things which they should be doing after breaking the latest version of the popular Apple tablet out of the box.
First and foremost, the users of the device should get the Smart Cover on the new iPad to protect its screen and work it as a stand for the tablet. Next, they need to set up their email accounts on the new iPad; as well as set up an access password for security reasons.
For users who are concerned a lot about the privacy factor, one important thing which they need to do as soon as they get their hands on the new tablet is to turn off location settings on the device. Furthermore, they should also set up Apple's iCloud service so as to facilitate the synchronization between their music and apps.
Another thing the users should do is to set up iTunes so that they can download music and videos; and also hook up to the 4G LTE service from their chosen carrier - AT&T or Verizon.
Finally, new iPad buyers should also download their favorite apps to the tablet; select some accessories which the tablet supports and connects through the Dock connector; and familiarize themselves with the basics of iOS 5.1, which boasts an array of touch gestures.
