O2 Users Continue to Suffer Snag in Data Service

Since Saturday, users of O2's data services have suffered a major snag that has reportedly left over a thousand iPhone and other smartphone users frustrated and unable to access even the simplest of applications. Despite the fact that Britain's top ranked telecommunications services provider promised that the problem would be taken care of by Sunday, it still lingers on.

Although no official statements have been released by the telecom giant on its website or official blog, it is trying to keep users informed via regular Twitter updates.

On Sunday, a tweet by O2 read "We're sorry that some mobile customers have had problems with data today - these services will be back up tonight", and after the company was unable to live up to its word, another tweet was posted - "We apologize to customers who cannot use data at the moment. We have a fault with the allocation of IP addresses which we are fixing".

The last tweet, which can last evening, claimed that the services has been restored and all problems have been fixed, but this did not seem to have solved the problems faced by many users.

This is not the first time the O2 users have been plagued with such a problem. In July this year, an almost similar issue was encountered when the users were unable to access the internet or use MMS services.
