Recently it was noted that the arrival of International visitors in Singapore has grown up by 16.2 per cent during the first month of the year 2011. It has touched the figure of 1,055,000.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has stated that till now this is the highest number for the month of January. However, the number of visitor was not high as compared to the last December. In the month of December, there were 1.13 million visitors.

There were many visitors from all across the world. Indonesia China, Australia, Malaysia, India have 208,000, 132,000, 98,000, 78,000, and 63,000 visitors respectively to this country. They have accounted for 55 per cent of foreign visitors.

When there is increase in the number of visitors, revenue of the hotels has also increased 25.8 per cent from a year ago period. It was recorded S$176 million for the month.

The top five visitors of Singapore for this period were from Indonesia, China, Australia, Malaysia, and India. Singapore is looking forward to improve its tourism market this year.
