A short while after the HTC Hero was launched with Sprint, the HTC Droid-Eris was launched throughout America with Verizon, and while it did not get the same amount of publicity that the Hero did, the phone has managed to make quite a mark for itself in the market and lived up to all the hype that was associated with it pre-release.
The HTC Droid-Eris was released a month ago, and since then the sleek smartphone has sold a whopping number of units, with 250,000 that were picked up on the first week of release alone. Verizon, the official carrier of the "iPhone killer" manufactured by Motorola, has predicted that sales will keep going up.
Critics of the Droid Eris have been especially impressed with the full QWERTY keyboard, lush and vibrant screen display, reportedly even better in resolution than the iPhone, navigation capabilities and a myriad of interesting e-mail and internet tools that come incorporated with the phone. Some experts have been quick to say that the Droid-Eric seems like a "miniature computer".
With a 5 megapixel camera, up-to 16GB expandable memory, 528MHz processor, 288MB of RAM, and 512MB of ROM, the phone promises to be one of the best and smartest smartphones of the year, and with the Christmas season just around the corner, Verizon is positive of even more sales for the Droid-Eris.
