Black Friday sales this year have been better than before, with more and more companies cutting down their prices much further than expected to get the very cautious customers to shop. Apple, the technology giant who recent announced that it would be holding Black Friday sales outside America as well, also slashed the rates of its much sought after gadgets including the exclusive and high-priced PC range. The company pulled away as much as 8% off its MacBook and iMac Range.
The announcement came as good news for all those who have been itching to get their hands on these popular machines but couldn't get past the $1,000 starting price.
The single day sale discounted the cost on all MacBook Pro Laptop and iMac desktop models by around $101. While this represented an 8% cut on the firm's lowest-priced 13-in. MacBook Pro and the 21.5-in. iMac, it was a 5% reduction for the quad-core i5-based iMac and a 4% cut on the MacBook Pro, which is the firm's high-end 15in. laptop.
Although Apple was offering the discount itself, many online retailers seemed to be beating the firm at it by cutting down the price of its products even more. Amazon, for example, pulled $149 off the 13 in. MacBook Pro, and MacConnection. com's discounts beat both Apple and Amazon.
In addition to the cutting the prices off its laptops and desktops, Apple also discounted all three iPod Touch models, Nano models and Apple TV as well.
