A further 29% drop in the sale of unfinished private properties was recorded for the month of October, making it the third consecutive month to record a decline. A total of 811 new units were sold last month compared to 1,143 sales in September and 1.805 sales in August. The figures were confirmed on Monday by the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
Since January, this is the first month which has recorded a below 1,000 sales figure. There was, however, an increase in the sale of high-end private properties. Since February, mass units had dominated the market, but that changed in October which saw a rise in median home sales with prices over S$1,500 per square feet.
Cyan at Bukit Timah Road emerged as the most popular and highest selling property with buyers picking up as many as 80 units at a median price of S$1,821 per square foot.
A property at the Boulevard Vue at Cuscaden Walk, which cost a whopping S$4,150 per square foot, made its mark as the most expensive unit sold in the month of October.
