Apple iPhone 4 has finally been released. V3.co.uk believes that almost a thousand people were present at the launch of the London flagship shop, and reports claim that some of them even had queued overnight.
However, this comes as no surprise, as the record level of pre-orders the phone racked up at the Apple store online – some 600,000 on just the first day alone.
3 has launched its tariffs for iPhone 4 that start at £30 per month (over two years), with 500 minutes (and 5000 3 to 3 minutes), 5000 texts and 1GB of Internet, and the 16GB phone costing £99.
In addition to this the 32GB model is priced at £189.
It was further stated by the trade watchers that at £35 per month, 3’s scheme remains exactly the same – close to the price of the phone, however the company offers an extra 400 voice minutes, making 900 minutes in total. A similar plan will be upto £40 per month with Vodafone to get 900 minutes.
3 apparently is looking pretty competitive, with its £45 per month plan, 3 offers 16GB iPhone 4 to the customer for free (the 32GB model still has an up-front charge of £89). It also has free 2000 minutes.
Other mobile carrier like the T-Mobile is yet to announce its prices.
