Sleep Deprivation can Cause Fatal Sickness; Study

This month you may see your colleagues downing ample cups of coffee or may spot dark circles around their eyes. This is increasingly due to the Football World Cup fever emerging in its diehard fans, for which sleep has almost expelled from their schedules. They can easily stay up late night just to watch the live telecasts.

The scientists have cautioned for the sleep deprivation, particularly during this month. The symptoms of lack of sleep include tiredness, loss in concentration, heart disorders, hallucination, and eventually death.

Within a time span of 1-1/2 to five weeks, scientist discovered that the laboratory rats died due to lack of sleep. Along with other health factors, the lack of sleep becomes fatal to the humans, but it has not been invented that after what extent does this becomes a great threat.

Those going for the normal six to eight hours sleep a day, are in less danger than the people who only slept for six hours or less. This was discovered by the British and the Italian researchers, and listed the figures that 12% of the latter were more likely to die over a 25 year period.

One advice for the soccer fans is to go for power naps a day, in order to be safe from the sleep deprivation.
