The Xtreme RP team posted its victorious triumph at the ongoing 19th FIBA Asia under-18 ladies championship at Angkasa Lanud Hall, Medan, Indonesia on Wednesday. The winning team defeated its opponent, Singapore by scoring 68-50.
The RP team though started at a slow pace but gained momentum against Level I play in the next edition of FIBA Asia. The victorious team earlier had defeated Thailand and Hong Kong and will now encounter a substantial game against Kazakhstan on Friday.
The coach of the successful team, Raymond Celis asserted that his team would have to give a good performance to be among the top two positions in order to qualify for a decisive playoff with the fifth or sixth leveler of Level I.
The captain of the team, Kat Sandel was the top scorer of the day among the RP belles who scored 25, Raiza Rose Palmera was at 18 and Agatha Marie Estrero at 10.
