The telecom networking company, Cisco on November 6 announced its plan to work in tandem with the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA)in order to enhance services for the country’s commuters.

Cisco alongwith LTA and Singapore Urban Transport Solutions plans to actuate the process that aims to make the nation as a research centre of urban transport solutions, developing partnerships with credible research and industrial setups thus advancing Singapore's urban transport solutions. The overall emphasis will be on developing innovative urban communications infrastructures.

The proposed plan will also be supported by The Economic Development Board of Singapore, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, IBM, Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited and 3M Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
