Carrefour has announced its new Managing Director for Carrefour Malaysia and Singapore, clearing the name of Guillaume de Colonges to hold the post with immediate effect.

Colonges will take charge from Shafie Shamsuddin who has been appointed as the Managing Director of Carrefour Indonesia.

De Colonges was handling Carrefour's multi-format business as Operations Director in Taiwan before his elevation. He also served Carrefour Turkey and promoted the overall supply chain of the company.

The company hopes better results for its business by shuffling its top management at a time when market has been showing signs of recovery and companies are eying on grabbing emerging opportunities in the market to recover their past glories.
