Barclays Singapore Open is part of European Tour this year, with a total reward of £3million and first prize of over £500,000.

The event, which is scheduled from October 29 to November 1, is in the same week as the Volvo World Match Play in Spain, where the winner will take home a whopping sum of £650,000, and at least £100,000 would be given to all of the 16 players.

There are 65 European Tour spots available in Singapore, since it will be co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour. "A victory or high-placed finish at Sentosa could have a huge influence on the outcome of 'The Race to Dubai," said chief executive George O'Grady.
