Skype, the known VoIP provider, has decided to launch Skype Access in a different way - it has offered free WiFi access for the weekend at more than 2000 locations in Australia. The free WiFi access has been planned to be enabled worldwide covering more than 100,000 hotspots. The timing of the free access is 10am to 9:59 pm from 20 March to 22 March, 2010.
Skype's Windows 4.2 version incorporates Skype Access as its part, it enables the users to access the WiFi by using Skype credit, it allows the people to surf the internet without hindrances, the user can check their emails and can make free calls from Skype-to-Skype in voice and video form through WiFi without any botherations of multiple logins and credit cards.
In order to access the services, customers are required to download Skype's Windows 4.2 version.
Skype has enrolled with global hotspot provider Boingo to provide the free WiFi offer to the customers; they can find the free hotspot by visiting Boingo website.
