The so-called armchair explorers will henceforth be able to learn more about the South Pole exploration and the remote and icy Antarctica continent, thanks to Google's Tuesday addition of historically momentous images to its Antarctica map as well as to Google's World Wonders site.

In a highly notable move which marks the return of the struggling Internet company Yahoo to its Internet roots in the Silicon Valley, the company has recently appointed Google’s key VP, Marissa Mayer, as its new CEO.
