Skiff, which is a start-up backed by the publishing company, and was previously, christened FirstPaper, will demonstrate its extraordinary flexible, large-screen electronic reader which has been specifically optimized for newspapers and magazines.

Market research company DisplaySearch has reported that inspite of the recession hit economies, the global shipments of LCD TVs managed to grow in 2009, while also sharing the prediction that for 2010, the sales are set to rise year-over-year.

Flat-panel sets account for the majority of total TV sales, and the main reason behind the rise in sales has been the growing demand in China, where people are busy replacing their old CRT TVs. Also, huge price declines across Western Europe and North America have helped.

Packard Bell has introduced its latest high end laptop brand named EasyNote Butterfly Touch Edition, which is due to hit the market by February next year.

The EasyNote Butterfly Touch Edition can be used as a laptop as well as a tablet PC. Its rotational screen makes it more impressive.

The new laptop presents an 11.6-inch screen with 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, a full-size keyboard plus a netbook style six-cell battery that lasts up to eight hours.

The 1.6Kg laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium, a 640MB hard disk drive and up to 4GB RAM.

With the Booklet 3G, Nokia is taking their first steps into the unfamiliar netbook territory, but experts have been quick to say that it is a machine which is worth a try. Pre-orders for the same have now been officially opened by the company for 650 Pounds apiece, and users can place an order at Nokia's official website.

Although a confirmed UK launch date is still to be announced by the Finland based manufacturer, it is being estimated to be January 2010.
