Intel has proclaimed of porting across the Android mobile operating system onto devices that run using the firm’s Atom chipset.

A representative confirmed that a version of Android 2.2 has been made ready to ship off to developers before the end of summer.

Intel on the other hand is keen on keeping the new variant of Android an open sourced platform, reports APC.

The generation next server processor comes from the Intel, code named the Westmere-EX.

It is stated that the Westmere-EX will integrate more cores than any other server chip currently offered by the company.

This year’s Taiwanese hardware show Computex, which began Tuesday, is not likely to see any major surprises from Intel, even as the Company plans to talk about its future technology and product plans. Still, Intel would be announcing its plans concerning a new thermal "technology concept" called Canoe Lake.

Reports claim that Intel has launched the multicore x64 processors that the Company has designed as co-processors, which would accelerate graphics and other applications combined with lots of number-crunching.

Chipmaker Intel last week presented a demonstration of netbook model operating on a dual-core Atom processor at its investor meeting.

In addition, the Company is speculated to unveil a range of netbooks and tablets running dual-core Atoms at the Computex show in early June.

Intel has launched its all new Moorestown System-on-chip (SoC) in the US market. This is going to be the company's first ever Smartphone that has been powered by Atom processor. The model name is LG GW990. The South Korean manufacturing company LG Electronics is also associated with this product.

Unexpectedly almost all the produced Core i7 980X Gulftown, Intel’s six-core processors have been sold in Europe. Due to a hint of not completely stable economy, Intel had carefully produced limited of this specific processor. However it has not been much time since chips were launched.
