In the wake of Microsoft's plan to foray into the tablet arena with its `Surface' tablet, Taiwan-based computer manufacturer, Acer, has requested the software giant to `think twice' about its planned tablet-market venture.

Tata Teleservices and Acer India declared the launch of a Next-Generation Netbook-the Aspire One AOD 260, which is featured with Tata Photon Plus which will offer high-speed Internet access up to 3.1 Mbps.

The Netbook will be using the abilities of the HSIA technology on TTSL's CDMA network and will offer its users super fast broadband connectivity.

The new netbook is equipped with the very latest Intel Atom N450 processor, a 10.1 inch display, and the company claims that it has a battery back-up of at least 10 hours. The long battery life seems to have been a result of the more power efficient processor and the use of an LED backlit screen.
