Galaxy S II gets ICS update in Singapore
Almost two months after the official update to the latest Android OS version - the Android 4.0 `Ice cream Sandwich' (ICS) update - for the European users of the popular Galaxy S II smartphone, the Singapore owners of the handset are now getting the ICS upgrade.
Twitter downplays reports of 55,000 hacked accounts
In a Tuesday report, hacking news aggregator Airdemon. net revealed that nearly 55,000 Twitter accounts had been attacked by hackers seemingly linked to the Anonymous hacktivist group. The microblogging site, however, downplayed the reports of the data breach, saying that the hackers’ claims of the attack on the site were largely bogus.
T-Mobile to shutter Redmond call center; 359 employees to be laid off
In a Thursday announcement, T-Mobile USA revealed that it intends shutting down its Redmond call center in a broad consolidation move aimed at bringing down costs and sustaining itself in the highly competitive scenario. Samsung: Dutch Court Says It Can't Pursue Injunctions Vs Apple For Standard-Essential Patents
In a Thursday statement, Samsung Electronics' spokesman James Chung revealed that a recent ruling by a Dutch court has prevented the South Korean electronics company from pursuing injunctions against iPhone-maker Apple for infringement of standards-essential patents as long as Apple appears to be keen on negotiating license deals.
Yahoo sues Facebook over web-related patents
According to an AllThingsD report, Yahoo recently took the legal route against Facebook, when it filed a lawsuit against the social network, accusing it of infringing on as many as 10 of Yahoo's web-related patents.
